Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Services

The Helitech Service Centre is staffed by Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, fully qualified to service airframe, powerplant and avionic components of all Bell Helicopters.

Helitech supports a large fleet of Bell helicopters for customers in private, tourism, EMS and ENG operations.

The company can provide scheduled maintenance at the Brisbane Heliport facility or on site at the customer's premises.

Component Servicing, Repair and Overhaul

The Component Workshop at Helitech has the capability to service, repair and overhaul the complete range of Bell helicopter airframe and drive train components in accordance with CASA and Bell Helicopter standards.

The hydraulic workshop is an approved HR Textron service centre. It has the capability to repair and overhaul all hydraulic servos used on Bell Helicopters. Support can be provided for components used on most other helicopter types.

Helitech has the capability to repair and overhaul Ronson Servos and 206 B & L series hydraulic pumps.
The Company also undertakes S 70 BlackHawk hydraulic overhaul work for the Australian Defence Force.

Surface Finishing and Non Destructive Testing

The Service Centre has a paint booth capable of accepting medium sized helicopters to the Bell 412 size. The facility is environmentally sound and its operators are skilled in the application of two pack polyurethane paint as well as the full range of corrosion inhibiting products and techniques.

Helitech has an approved non-destructive testing capability using fluorescent dye penetrants and magnetic techniques. Ultra sonic, eddy current and x-ray inspections can also be performed with professional interpretation and analysis of test results.

Rotor Blade and Bonded Panel Workshop

Helitech has both metal and composite repair capabilities.

Repair capability includes Bell 47, 205/UH-1H, 206B & L series, 412 & 212, and Sikorsky S76 & S70.

Repair to metal and composite honeycomb panels can be accomplished by using cold or hot bonding techniques.

Airframe Structural Repair

The company is an approved Bell Helicopter airframe repair facility, capable of major structural repair of Bell Model 205/UH-1H, 206B & L series, 212, 412 cabins and tailbooms. Repair capability also exists for 214 tailbooms.

All repairs are carried out in fixtures surveyed approved by Bell Helicopter.

Helitech has established an enviable reputation as a helicopter customising facility and completion centre.

The Company has extensive experience in the interior design, configuration and engineering of light and medium helicopters employed in search and rescue, medical service, law enforcement and offshore exploration and support operations.

Our design capabilities allow a rapid response to special customer requests and ensure speedy preparation of drawings for approval by the relevant Airworthiness Authority.

The combination of our sheet metal, electrical, avionics and surface finishing capabilities ensures fully integrated specialist interiors to satisfy the most precise specifications of individual customers.
