Design Engineering

The design department specialises in developing modifications and repairs for civil and military fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. Operational and Developmental Flight Testing, Support and Test Equipment Design services are also provided. The Design Engineering Department can also perform logistics management and other engineering and logical tasks.

The engineering staff are authorised under Civil Aviation Regulation (CAR) 35 and 36 for civilian fixed and rotary wing aircraft design tasks and undertake all phases of product development from initial concept up to and including full design certification.

Helitech also undertakes a broad range of Authorised Engineering Organisation services for the Army Aviation.

Helitech provides its professional engineering services within a well documented multi-disciplined systems engineering framework utilising procedures which are certified to AS/NZS ISO9001:2000 and AS/EN 9110:2003 by the Lloyd's Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA). This enables it to provide both military and commercial customers a full range of aeronautical engineering consultancy services.

The design engineering staff has direct access to Bell Helicopter Textron Inc product support engineering and design engineering staff.
